Clint Chase Boat Builder
We build and kit high performance rowboats, sail and power boats up to 20ā using best practices in plywood-epoxy and wood-composite construction. We fabricate lightweight wooden masts and spars using Birdsmouth spruce construction and devise new sail rigs for traditional boats and also specialize in custom-made wood and composite oars for fixed-seat rowers, scullers, and boat owners who appreciate high quality, custom oars for their tender. Currently, we are expanding our line of pre-cut kits for sail and oar boats. Clint teaches at The Wooden Boat School in the summers and displays at the Maine Boat Builders Show, the Wooden Boat Show, and Maine, Boats, Homes, and Harbors. Come see our spars, oars, and beautiful boats like the Drake Rowboat, which won a first place Concourse dā Elegance at the 2009 Wooden Boat Show. Shop hours at 25 Deblois Street are Mon-Friday 8:30-5pm. Please come visit us in person or keep up at our Blog.
